SPIKE 18

The robot I designed for the 2018 FRC robotics competition as part of team 293. This competition involved picking up the large yellow boxes (shown below) and depositing them onto platforms ranging from 1′-12′. The robots could also do a pull-up on a bar for more points. We chose a 10-wheeled shooting design, using equations I derived for the speed of each wheel in order to loft the boxes to the correct height. Half of this shooting mechanism could also rotate down, and open, functioning as a box-intake mechanism too.
